12 DAYS OF FILTHY RULEBOOK 2020

COMPETITION RULES

Injury/illness

A team consists of 4 athletes - 2 male, 2 female. Each athlete must complete all wods. In case of injury or illness the Team Captain can replace athletes via their competition corner account, right up until the end of the competition. Details on how to replace an athlete can be found here

Any substitute athlete must complete all wods regardless of when they were substituted in.

Event Scoring

Score Submission deadline is 10pm on 12th December 2020.
Athlete reps will be combined for each workout to provide a team score.

Scoring Categories

RX

ALL FOUR athletes must perform a workout at the prescribed RX standards to be classified as RX

SCALED

WHEN ALL FOUR athletes perform a workout at the prescribed SCALED standards, they will be classified as SCALED

SCALED PLUS

When ALL FOUR athletes perform a workout at the prescribed SCALED PLUS standards, they will be classified as SCALED PLUS

MIXED LEVEL TEAMS

For teams who perform workouts at mixed levels, the team category will be determined by the lowest level athlete

If a team does not complete all of the workouts, the team will be ranked below all other teams who completed all workouts.

LEADERBOARD RANKINGS

Team Performances will be ranked in each event. Points will be assigned according to a team’s relative rank (i.e., performance when compared to the performance of other teams). These points will be used to rank the teams on the Leaderboard. Ties on the overall leaderboard will be broken by awarding the best position to the team with the highest result in any single event. If teams remain tied after this first tiebreaker, the process continues to their next highest single result, and so forth. Ties will not be broken for single event results. More than one team can share an event rank, and each will earn the original point value. Results are not final until the video review process has been completed.

VIDEO SUBMISSION

You must record your workout for your score to be validated. We will accept videos from youtube, vimeo, Zoom.

We will accept any combination of video setups i.e. all 4 athletes in one video or 2 athletes in one video, 2 in another etc. This setup is totally up to you and whatever is possible for you to do, providing you can clearly record all athletes. Athletes do not need to do the workout at the same time or in the same location but they must all provide video proof that the workout was attempted.

Zoom recording rules
Athletes can complete the workout together on zoom. The zoom host must record the session on a laptop in grid mode so all athletes can be seen. The limit on free Zoom is 40 mins, do not get caught short on time! One clock must be visible. Athletes are responsible for making sure they can be seen clearly in their zoom grid and in accordance with video submission rules below. The zoom recording will need to be uploaded to youTube/vimeo/your usual video sharing location and the public link to that will be provided to us along with your score.

Video Rules

  • Film the dumbbells so the loads can be seen clearly.

  • Videos must be uncut and unedited to accurately display the performance.

  • Your clock or timer must be visible throughout the workout.

  • Shoot the video so all exercises can be seen clearly meeting the movement standards.

  • Videos shot with a fisheye lens or similar lens may be rejected.

VIDEO REVIEW

Submitted videos will be reviewed and the score for the workouts will be either validated, modified or invalidated. If a team fails to supply a video, their team score will be invalidated.
