Filthy 150 started in 2013 and has gone through many iterations of execution in that time. Learning from our mistakes as we have progressed and putting those lessons into action has been a fundamental focus point of creating an awesome event. One thing that has never changed though has been Filthy’s complete focus on community, inclusivity and teamwork. Check out our ethos here

Year 2 we moving to a larger box with the addition of some rented warehouse space so we would have room to put the athletes and everyone could chill out. We had to add a second date as demand was so high.

Rumour has it there was a giant mexican burpee wave around the whole CrossFit Swords site that year!

Year 4 - the year of the red flooring

We assembled Filthy from scratch this year. From seating to lining floors and everything in between! We may have overlooked the visual aspect of the red flooring though. A mistake never to be made again.

This was the year of the synchro and we had to run each category on separate days to accommodate everyone

Year 4 - We went big

Year 5 - An evolution. We did something no-one else had tried. We ran 4 competition floors simultaneously. We were a well oiled machine rolling with the punches and creating something amazing.

We had some Games athletes come and do some workshops and a big exhibition wod. We also donated all profits to Special Olympics for the first time and this made the event ever so special.

We had Trueforms and giant tyres and an outside obstacle course. Of course we were forecast a storm but it held no-one back. everyone left very happy if not slightly soggy!

Year 4 - Action Packed

Year 6 - When we took over an airport and the staff thought we were slightly crazy.

3 airport hangars full of fitness and community. We had some pretty awesome wods that included worms and giant Filthymade boxes!

This was a huge logistical project. But boy was it worth it. What a day, what an end to the year.
